Cristiano Ronaldo will launch his first NFT collection as a part of his exclusive, multi-year partnership with the top cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
Soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo teams up with leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance to launch his own non-fungible token (NFT) collection just one day before the World Cup gets underway in Qatar.
The NFT Collection for Cristiano Ronaldo
According to Business Mirror, a global marketing campaign featuring the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will support the launch and introduce his fans to Web3 through the NFT industry. The aforementioned NFT collection was disclosed last Friday, November 18.
Cristiano Ronaldo stated in a tweet from November 15 that his first NFT collection would enable soccer fans to own memorable moments from the star’s career by joining his own online community.
A soccer legend has previously been chosen for a blockchain-based partnership. Earlier this month, PSG forward Lionel Messi became an investor and brand ambassador for the French NFT trading card game Sorare. In June, Kylian Mbappe was also selected to serve as a brand ambassador.
He Yi, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Binance, said in a statement, “We are honoured to collaborate with Cristiano to help more people understand blockchain and showcase how we are building Web3 infrastructure for the sports and entertainment industry.
The Binance representative also stated that the platform thinks the blockchain and metaverse are what the internet will look like in the future.
The collection is “something memorable and unique for my fans, as they are such a big part of my success,” as Ronaldo himself says in support of this claim.
In Qatar, Ronaldo will compete in his final World Cup game.

Seven animated statues from the Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collection will be offered in four rarity levels: Super Super Rare (SSR), Super Rare (SR), Rare (R), and Normal (N). A special set of benefits are included with each rarity level, such as a handwritten note from Ronaldo and autographed football shirts.
Every NFT statue features a famous scene from Ronaldo’s life, from his career-defining bicycle kicks to his early years in Portugal.
The first 1.5 million new Binance users who sign up and complete the KYC procedure can also receive a free CR7 Mystery Box. One of the two Ronaldo NFTs in the Stone colour are exclusive to mystery boxes. To unlock exciting rewards, the celebrity himself advised interested fans to use code “RONALDO.”
The US affiliate of Binance.com is giving away free memento NFTs in exchange for USD deposits made during the promotion. Users who get the souvenir NFT will be put on a whitelist and be able to buy CR7 NFTs in the future.
