How to Deactivate Facebook

You have two choices on Facebook: deactivate or delete.

The first task is quite simple. Select Settings & Privacy > Settings from the menu that appears when you click your profile image in the top right corner of the desktop. Click Privacy > Your Facebook Information on the left. Deactivation and deletion are located at the bottom of the page if you scroll down.

To access Access and Control > Deactivation and deletion on an iPhone or Android device, tap the menu in the lower right corner, followed by the gear icon in the upper left corner.
